The street, driveway, and yard were patched and repaired after the water service was upgraded.
The concrete contractor finally returned on Friday, March 23rd with a break in the cold weather, and they finished pouring the concrete for the final underpinning section and the slab. They had to cut some holes on the side of the addition so they could get their concrete chute through.
The concrete truck and crew showed up this morning to pour the footings for the addition.
After a rain delay, the concrete contractor installed the second underpinning sections last week.
Notice the sump pumps keeping water out of the holes! You can also see how there will need to be a final section right in the middle – where the sewer pipe comes out.

The concrete contractor’s work is now well underway. They dug down beneath our house to pour new footings to support the existing foundation and the addition.
